Quilts, Wallhangings and Throws

Charlotte has always been interested in textiles and sewing techniques and, having become frustrated with the quality and sameness of mass produced items, now produces colourful hand made, be-spoke designed textiles many of which are three dimensional incorporating notions and embellishments to add interest and attract the eye.

In the centre of Charlotte's studio is a long narrow table running the full length of the room. At one end of the table is a window which looks directly out to sea and at the other end is a view of the kitchen garden. The elements of textiles, style, the sea and fresh vegetables constitute Charlotte's principal loves in life.

From the studio table Charlotte uses the bank of different sewing computers and over lockers to tailor garments and create textile art. The whole process from conception to manufacture takes place in this one space.


Each item is individually made, hand finished pre-washed, pre-shrunk and each carries the 'CE' symbol.

Gifts for Anniversaries, Weddings, birthdays and other special occasions can be made to order.

Children's playmats, cot/pram covers, nursery wall hangings and appliqued cushions in pastels or brights, as well a children's clothes, are also made to order and come with the exclusive West Street Studio design label.


    General Care
  • All items may fade if placed in direct sunlight.
  • Each item needs to be gentle shaken from time to time to restore its shape and puffiness.
  • Items can be warm washed gently in a mild washing powder, squeezed to remove excess water and dried flat.
  • If necessary, warm iron on the reverse side.
  • Items not on display should, if possible, be rolled with tissue paper and stored in a dry, flat space. .
  • Folding may result in damaged applique and batting
